Expressionist Pet Portraits Paint Night
Celebrate your favorite furry friend with a one-of-a-kind expressionist pet portrait! In this fun and creative paint night, you’ll transform a favorite photo of your pet into a colorful, expressive work of art on an 6x8"canvas.
Working from a photo of your own pet, you’ll explore bold brushwork, expressive color, and layered acrylic painting techniques to capture your pet’s personality without getting caught up in creating a perfectly realistic portrait. Your instructor will guide you through the process, from transferring and scaling your pet’s image to building up layers of paint and bringing your portrait to life.
Before class, students will submit a photo of their pet so the instructor can prepare and print a properly scaled reference image. No previous painting experience is necessary, just bring a favorite pet photo and your creativity!

Finding a Literary Agent: From Manuscript to Query
Have you written a novel, memoir, or other book and wondered what comes next? This practical workshop will demystify the process of finding a literary agent and preparing your submission materials.
We’ll explore how to research and identify agents who are a good fit for your work, what agents look for in a submission, and how to put together the essential materials—including a compelling query letter, synopsis, and opening pages. You’ll also learn how to approach the submission process strategically and avoid common mistakes that can get a promising manuscript overlooked.
Whether you’re just beginning to explore traditional publishing or are ready to start querying, this workshop will give you a clearer roadmap for taking the next step toward publication.

Misty Mountains Paint Night
Escape into a peaceful mountain landscape in this relaxing and creative paint night. Using acrylic paint and simple brush techniques, you’ll create a misty mountain scene filled with atmospheric layers, soft colors, and the feeling of a quiet evening in the mountains.
You’ll learn how to build depth and dimension by layering distant and foreground mountains, blending colors, and using light and shadow to create a dreamy, atmospheric landscape. Whether you’re an experienced painter or picking up a brush for the first time, this class is designed to be approachable, enjoyable, and creative.

Starry Sky Wooden Ornaments
Create a little piece of the night sky to hang on your tree and make another to give as a thoughtful handmade gift. In this relaxing, creative class, you’ll transform two natural wood rounds into a beautiful starry-sky ornament, painting a dreamy night scene filled with stars and wintery skies.
You’ll experiment with layers of acrylic paint, blending shades of blue and violet, and use simple brush techniques to create a luminous sky and twinkling stars. Add your own artistic touches to make your ornaments uniquely yours. A crystal bead and metallic thread can provide an extra bit of sparkle, but are optional. No painting experience is necessary.
Come ready to enjoy an evening of creativity and make something beautiful for the holidays.

Private Lessons
Fiadhnait offers private lessons for creators of all ages and levels in Vermont, both children and adults from complete beginner through advanced. By taking an art course with Fiadhnait, you will learn techniques in drawing, oil and acrylic painting, principles of design such as composition and color theory, building creative processes, and finding your artistic style.
In addition to art classes, Fiadhnait also offers in-person and remote writing coaching and book editing services, with a specialization in children’s and young adult literature. She tutors English/Language Arts Composition and Creative Writing for students in middle school, high school, and college.
